CivicView is a comprehensive, fully integrated software solution
for local Australian government organisations.
CivicView was initially created as the result of a joint venture
between Insight
Informatics Pty. Ltd., a software development company based in
Brisbane and Kempsey Shire Council situated midway between Sydney
and Brisbane on the New South Wales coast in 1998. Together, they
developed the system to meet the specific needs of local government
authorities Australia wide.
A broad experience in the application of Geographic Information Systems and the detailed knowledge acquired from many years experience in Local Government, enabled the development team to create CivicView. This fully integrated Windows based system offers easy to use and efficient solutions for the broad spectrum of local government functions. CivicView was designed and developed for its current platform and is not a converted DOS or proprietary system with a GUI front end.
In the past four years CivicView has been successfully installed
in a number of sites in New South Wales and Queensland with an
active User Group that sings its praises.
Today, the CivicView system's ongoing development is performed by
Insight Informatics.
