Insight Informatics Appoints Global Integration as Exclusive
Distributor for Australian-Developed CivicView Local Government
Software
Appointment Supports New Connectable Solutions Architecture To Allow
Local Government Organisations To “Plug the Gaps” In Their Existing
Software Solutions
Sydney, Australia – March 31, 2008 – Insight Informatics, a
long-standing Brisbane-based developer of local government and
library software solutions, today announced that it has appointed
Sydney-based Global Integration as exclusive distributor for the
CivicView local government solution.
“Until now, local government organisations have grappled with a
dilemma,” said Colin Richardson, Managing Director for Global
Integration. “Their existing software suppliers do not offer all the
functions they require. But the alternative, to rip out and replace
their systems, is disruptive and, with most councils facing limited
additional revenue sources, too expensive an option.
“Organisations urgently need focused software solutions which solve
their business problems, which are quick and cost effective to
implement and which have plug-and-play connections to their existing
systems,” said Richardson. “This is what Insight Informatics offers
with its new Connectable Solutions Architecture and why we see great
potential as exclusive distributor to grow the CivicView market.”
Global Integration will be responsible for all sales and marketing
activities, and for the implementation and support of CivicView. The
appointment is part of Insight Informatics’ strategy to better meet
the software solutions needs of local government with its new
Connectable Solutions Architecture.
“Our Connectable Solutions Architecture means that local government
organisations can now plug the gaps that their existing software
solutions do not cover,” said Santo Cavallaro, General Manager from
Insight Informatics. “Working with Global Integration, our customers
can implement CivicView software modules which offer functions they
do not currently have within an integrated platform.”
Insight Informatics has previously offered CivicView as a
comprehensive, fully integrated software solution for local
Australian government organisations. Going forward CivicView, and a
series of new component modules, will be offered as connectable
applications built on Ensemble, a next generation integration
platform from InterSystems.
Using the advanced integration capabilities of the underlying
Ensemble platform, new CivicView modules can be easily and
seamlessly integrated with existing local government software to
create a comprehensive, fully integrated solution.
Global Integration is an Ensemble Implementation Partner and
specialist in InterSystems technologies. “This expertise will be of
great value to existing and future CivicView clients who face
increasing requirements to integrate complex systems and extract
more value from their data,” said Richardson.
Insight Informatics is progressively upgrading existing CivicView
modules to the Ensemble platform as well as developing additional
modules that meet requirements for which local government
organisations cannot easily find solutions.
The first modules offered using the Connectable Solutions
Architecture are Road/Transport Asset Management and Contracts
Management. Global Integration will immediately begin offering the
new modules to new and existing customers. Other CivicView modules
include Property, Rating, Purchasing, Creditors, Debtors, General
Ledger, Payroll, Human Resources, Customer Service and Mapping.
